In light of all the COVID-19 precautions and warnings, here is how we are worshipping together at this time.
We're following our usual Sunday worship schedule, holding a Traditional Service at 8:00am and a more Contemporary Service at 10:30am. Our Traditional Service will be live-streamed on Facebook and YouTube. You'll find a link to our Facebook page below as well as an order for the service.
At 9:30am every Thursday, we offer a brief service with Holy Communion for our "at-risk" members, friends, and neighbors. We take extra precautions at this service and follow an informal outline.
Wednesday Evening Bible Study:
Galatians: Reclaiming the Gospel
In his treatise "On Christian Freedom", Dr. Martin Luther puts forward this paradoxical idea: "A Christian is a perfectly free lord of all, subject to none. A Christian is a perfectly dutiful servant of all, subject to all." Living this paradox is the main part of being a Christian. In our study, we'll look at how Paul teaches the Christians in Galatia how to balance their lives between these truths. This Bible Study will meet every Wednesday until September 23 at 7:00pm. You can join our Zoom call by clicking this link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88677942764
Below you'll find a schedule for our readings and each week will have a handout for you to follow and fill in as you like. You'll find those handouts on this page.
Looking Longer at the Lessons:
Every week, Pastor Vanderbilt records some thoughts and insights about the Gospel lesson appointed for the week. You can watch his videos on YouTube by clicking the button below. Pastor Vanderbilt has also provided some questions for you as well; you'll find those in the document linked below.
