Ascension Day Service, May 9:
After the resurrection, Jesus taught His disciples about God’s kingdom for forty days and then He was “taken up” to heaven. The cross and empty tomb are at the very heart of the Gospel message proclaimed by Jesus’ followers throughout history. However, for many Christians, Jesus’ Ascension is simply and afterthought to Easter and Good Friday.
